Lab School Seniors Graduate

A total of 92 seniors from WVCST Laboratory School marched for the Commencement Exercises for this academic year 2013-2014 last Monday, March 31, 2014.

Thankful to what they have achieved, the class Valedictorian as well as the Salutatorian gave honors to the Laboratory School teachers whom they considered as their second parents in school. They emphasized that despite their attitude as teenagers, the Lab School teachers were very patient with them and molded them to be strong individuals ready to go to College, a statement which was also concurred by the commencement speaker, Mrs. Liberty P. Lego.

As an alumna of Iloilo School of Arts and Trades Laboratory School (Elementary & High School), Mrs. Lego, now Principal III of Jalandoni Memorial National High School, believes that graduating from this institution means being academically ready coupled with an extra advantage of having technical and technological skills. She recalled having been underestimated because of the conventional impression that students from WVCST (then ISAT) were only good at skills rather than academics. However, after achieving her dream of becoming a teacher, Mrs. Lego had proven even to her late father that “success cannot be measured by quantity but rather in what the individual believes he could achieve.” “It is in you on how to make your dreams come into realization, but remember, sometimes God has His own plans and that later we will realize that these are even better plans for us. We should know when to embrace it and be thankful.” She also reminded them to stand for whatever decision they make and work hard for it so there will be no room for regrets.

The Laboratory Class of 2013-2014 is led by their Class Valedictorian Diane Rose H. Pagal and Trixie M. Lao, Class Salutatorian. Other students in the honor roll are Marinel E. Ilaya, 1st Honorable Mention; Efren Q. Bartolome, 2nd Honorable Mention; Mary Ella Mae E. Ilustre, 3rd Honorable Mention; Zilfah Denyce R. Lao, 4th Honorable Mention; Carmela E. Escanlar, 5th Honorable Mention; Jason D. Rodrigo, Ruby Anne S. Espino and Nicole Grace P. Condes – With Honors.
