Dr. Raul F. Muyong receives the certificate of recognition from the GQMC.
Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U) received a certificate of recognition from the Government Quality Management Committee (GQMC) during the 4th Recognition Ceremony of Government Organizations with ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certification on November 10, 2016 at the Land Bank of the Philippines Auditorium, Malate, Metro Manila.
The recognition was pursuant to Executive Order No. 605 (Institutionalizing the Structure, Mechanisms and Standards, to Implement the Quality Management Program). It recognizes public sector organizations that achieved the goal of the Government Quality Management Program (GQMP) to strengthen their institutional capabilities in delivering citizen-focused public services and in implementing international standards-based quality management system.
The University was recognized for its successful attainment of Quality Management System Certificate issued on November 29, 2012 in education services including academic program and general administration.
Dr. Raul F. Muyong, University President, received the award from GQMC chaired by Department of Budget and Management Secretary Benjamin E. Diokno and co-chaired by Sec. Ramon M. Lopez of the Department of Trade and Industry. Members of the committee are DILG Sec. Ismael D. Sueno, Development Academy of the Philippines President Antonio D Kalaw and Alberto A. Bernardo, Deputy Executive Secretary, Office of the President-Internal Audit Office.
