Iloilo Science and Technology University received a Certificate of Meritorious Service from the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) on the 20th blood donors recognition and awarding ceremony, “Dugo sang Dungganon : 20 years of Honoring Ilonggo Blood Donors.”  This was held at the Iloilo Convention Center on August 3, 2018.

The award acknowledged ISAT U for continuous and outstanding support, valuable assistance, and unstinted cooperation extended to PRC with more than five years of service and have already received special citations.

For three successive years, PRC has recognized ISAT U’s continuous support to blood donation program. In 2016, the university received a Platinum Service Awards for sponsoring mass blood donation for five consecutive years with a minimum cumulative total of 500 units donated. A Special Citation-Gold was bestowed on ISAT U on 2017 for conducting not less than five years of continuous blood donation program and has produced not less than 5,000 blood units.

Director  Adrienne D. Veloso, Director, Extension Services Division, receives the award from Philippine Red Cross officials.

The university also received a Scroll of Honor award in 2014 for four years of distinguished service  in providing a minimum of 200 units of cumulative total.

The partnership for blood donation is a continuing program through the “Dugo Mo, Kabuhi Ko” bloodletting activity of the Extension Services Division which started in 2007.
