In observance of the March 8, 2015 International Women’s day celebration, Western Visayas College of Science and Technology (WVCST) marked the day with various activities.
with this year's theme "Juana, Desisyon Mo ay Mahalaga sa Kinabukasan ng Bawat Isa, Ikaw na!,” a medical check-up, stress management lecture for the faculty and employees, and foot reflexology were held on March 10, 2015.
The stress management lecture, which was held at the EdTech Center, highlighted the college's observance of the women's month celebration.
Prior to the start of the lecture, early comers were given discount coupons from Medicus. Free check- ups for blood pressure were also given which entitled one raffle entry for each person.
The stress management lecture focused on stress and the methods of dealing with it. This was followed by a lecture on the disease caused by stress such as heart diseases, bronchial asthma and diabetes.
The foot reflexology was conducted at the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA)-Information Communications Technology (ICT) Building Room 110 with a Php 100 fee.
Dr. Irene Rose Ineza and Sammy Darry Casibe served as resource speakers on stress management.
