Along with their parents, the CIT top performing students for 2013-2014 marched for this year’s Parangal as the College of Industrial Technology acknowledged their achievements on March 24, 2014.
In his speech, Dr. Manuel A. Sanchez, Jr., VP for Academic Affairs and Campus Administrator, he expressed jubilation that this year’s Summa Cum Laude came from the CIT Department. According to him, this status is not easy to achieve as it requires so much determination, time and hard work. In addition, he said, to be an achiever, one should live up to the expectations of the many, become a role model to other students, younger siblings and the people of the society. To the other awardees, he posed a challenge on how they are going to undertake and solve their responsibilities.
Dr. Sanchez also acknowledged the patience, guidance and knowledge unselfishly shared by the teachers as well as the hard working parents who selflessly gave the best for their children.
This year’s Summa Cum Laude and Most Outstanding CIT Graduate is Carmen F. Once of the HRT Department. Once, who endlessly expressed her gesture of gratitude especially to God, recalled all the hard work she put in order to give back to her parents all the sacrifices they did for her. She also reminded her classmates that graduation means the beginning of a new life and greater responsibilities. So to become successful she encouraged them to continue dreaming and working hard and always be thankful for every achievement they may receive.
The College of Industrial Technology gave awards to 2013-2014 Dean’s Listers, Extra-Curricular Activities Awardees as well as to those who excelled in Sports.
