The Research Services Division (RSD) of Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U) conducted an in-house research presentation at the New Board Room held on Feb. 26, 2016.

Faculty members coming from different departments of ISAT U, La Paz Campus gathered to present their researches approved and recognized by the Research Services Division.

During the opening program, Dr. Raul F. Muyong, University President, challenged the RSD to have journals accredited and recognized by CHED. He also mentioned that the university website will soon provide a research portal for the research works to be uploaded online.

Dr. Richard C. De Leon, RSD Director, also updated the participants on the RSD’s activites and provided details about the approved research excellence award. He said that  there will be no research incentives for now for the  approved and recognized researches. He also added that there will be strict evaluation for the faculty who wanted to present the paper outside ISAT U.

A uniform template for research works was also targeted as one of the objectives of RSD.

“We hope we can encourage the faculty from architecture and engineering to submit researches,” Dr. De Leon said during the closing remarks. The summary of presentation and recommendation of the in-house research paper presentation will be submitted to the president.

At the end of the program Dr. De Leon announced the in house review will be on March 30. The venue is yet to be decided.
