The Western Visayas College of Science and Technology(WVCST) turned out 216 new professional teachers after the results of the September 30, 2012 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) was released by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) last November 2012.
Of the 127 examinees from the elementary level, 110 passed while 106 out of 153 made it in the secondary level. The college's passing percentage for the elementary is 86.61 percent against the national passing percentage of 49.21 percent. For the secondary level, WVCST's passing percentage is 69.67 percent vis-a-vis the national passing percentage of 43.50 percent.
